Description: Takayama city located in Japan's mountainous Gifu Prefecture takes approximately 5 hours by car from Tokyo. At the heart of Takayama city, you will find narrow streets along the Sanmachi Suji historic district lined with wooden merchant houses dating to the Edo Period. Along the old private houses, you will find sake breweries and merchants' houses with latticed bay windows lining the streets largely untouch as they were during the Edo and Meiji periods. It is now designated an area of important traditional buildings by the Japanese Government. The Kusabe Heritage House(or Kusabe Folk Museum), formerly the residence of the Kusakabe family, has been designated an Important Cultural Property because it is a prime example of Meiji Era architecture.
Shirakawa-go is a registered UNESCO World Heritage Site, with 110 folk houses with roofs thatched in the gasso, or "praying hands" style, stand in this quiet mountain village community. The Shiroyama Observatory Deck offers a panoramic view of a UNESCO-protected village of Shirakawa-go. From this vantage point you can truly appreciate the mountainous scenery and the 114 thatched-roof homes that make up the Shirakawa-go Village. The quiet, quaint village, dwarfed by the mountains that surround it, has photogenic appeal, with its homes shaped like hands in prayer, a river running through town, and adjacent rice paddies.

Others: For multiple-day hire with overnight stop(s) outside of Tokyo, covering other cities for trip length of minimum 2 days up to maximum 7 days can also be arranged on request. Customers are required to formulate your own itinerary by listing out the attractions you are planning to visit and the cities you will be stopping at for the night.
