FAQ Preparing for your flight(Domestic LCC)

Information found on this page is to assist passengers who have purchased a Vanilla Air domestic holiday package leaving from Tokyo-Narita. Information provided will serve only as a general guide and cannot be relied upon solely, as information may change from time to time.

Boarding a Vanilla Air leaving from Tokyo-Narita



i Identification card or passport
All passengers must be in possession of any form of a photo ID or passport in order to be allowed to enter the terminal building as part of the security efforts at Narita International Airport.

ii Narita Airport Terminal 2, North Wing (1st floor)
You will proceed to Narita Airport Terminal 2, North Wing, to check in for your Vanilla Air flight on your departure day.
When the flight returns back to Narita, you will be arriving at the same Terminal 2 building, but will be at the South Wing arrival hall(2nd floor) instead.

iii Check-in (at the counter)
You must complete check in no later than 45 minutes before your flight departure time. You will be refused boarding should you be late for your check-in.

Check-in using the automated check-in machine
You can choose either using the automated check-in machine or using the manned counter. When using the automated check-in machine, check in will no longer be possible less than 60 minutes before the flight departure time.

After completed check-in, you will proceed for the airport security screening before the boarding of your flight. There is no immigration formalities required.

iv Be at the boarding gate no later than 20 minutes before flight departure
After completed check-in and the security check, you are required to be at the boarding gate no later than 20 minutes before flight departure.

v Carry on baggage
Other than personal belongings (hand bag or laptop case.), a passenger can carry only one piece of baggage satisfying the following conditions into the aircraft cabin.

Bags exceeding the size specified below can only be carried as checked baggage instead.

vi Checked baggage
Free baggage allowance for checked baggage is up to 15kg per person.

Baggages exceeding the allowance will be charged a fee specified below;
